Isle Royale National Park have confirmed our registration request for 2 separate crews for this summer.  Crew size is 7-10 people (including adult advisors) so spots will be limited !    Eligible scouts please start considering now so you are prepared to complete the permission form once it is posted.

An overview to whet your appetite:

• travel day from Rochester to Copper Harbor is Sat 7/19
• on 7/20 both crews travel by ferry to Rock Harbor on Isle Royale
• we will spend 6 nights on Isle Royale, at a different campsite each night, hiking ~ 50 miles
• both crews travel the same route, but in opposite directions
• we return to Rochester the evening of Sun 7/27

There will be warm-up hikes and equipment shakedowns leading up to the expedition.   It is expected that scouts planning to attend Isle Royale will also participate in the Easter high adventure expedition to Maryland.    This is a great hike to stay in shape and evaluate your equipment.
