  • Venturing Information Dinner & Meeting Tuesday 2/12/08

Our Troop has been extended an invitation to attend a special evening presentation on Venturing. The invitation is open all members of our Committee, and two additional parents or leaders.

The dinner and meeting will be hosted by St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Tuesday February 12th. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7:15 p.m.  There is no charge or obligation for attending this event, they only ask that we RSVP our attendance by Thursday February 7th so they can plan accordingly.

This is a great opportunity to learn first hand what Venturing is all about. Venturing is the young adult program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women ages 14-20 years of age.

If you are a Troop 125 leader, Scout or parent who has a interest in Venturing I encourage you to attend this event. Add a comment to this blog post if you have questions, or contact me at billburlingame@eaton.com.

Below is a link to presentation on Venturing for Scoutmasters that was supplied by Virgil Finney a while back. It gives a good overview.
